Dustcatcher

The focus of this project was the transformation of the negatively connoted term "dust catcher" by means of a consciously designed object.

At the same time, the object was to function as a passive cleaning device that works without the user's intervention.

The dust collector attracts and holds particles due to a static charge on its surface.

Inside the object is an electromagnetic motor that rotates a grinding wheel. This generates the static charge on the surface through friction.
